PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE:
The St. Patrick’s Day celebration at Carolyn & Tom Brinkers was a lot of fun and the food was plentiful and
great! Thank you very much Carolyn &
Tom for such a fun evening.
On a more somber note…Otts Bortle is not doing good…he needs our good
thoughts and prayers and Pat does too.
He is failing and all that can be done has been done. He is now under Hospice care at home. Also please keep Kerry Reid and his wife
Patty in your thoughts and prayers as he continues his valiant fight against
liver cancer.
It appears the Gordon Killibrew Workshop was
a success. Members who have never before
attended were truly amazed by the level of his expertise. Our Jim Willis said Gordon was quoting parts
numbers like he had a book in front of him.
Jim said Gordon was talking and looked aside to one of the cars and
simply stated “those tires are on backward”…and he was right! Thanks everyone for making this event a
success and thanks to Rick Berry for knowing our needs and organizing such a
worthwhile workshop.
The By-Laws Committee will do a brief presentation at the April 6th
meeting. They’ll have handouts showing
our By-Laws as they are and also with the new recommendations. It seems there are not a lot of updates so we
should be able to discuss and vote on them that evening.
Elections of Officers will also be held at the April 6th
meeting. In order to vote in the
election your dues must be paid at or before the meeting and you must have
attended the required number of events according to the By-Laws.
Everyone who attended the March meeting seemed to enjoy the food
prepared for us at LaRosa Negra
Restaurant. The accommodations are
really nice. Hope to can join us there
on April 6th.
Bill
